The National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) has announced to soon unveil a Technology Portal to grant the ¢600m soft loan scheme announced by the government for Micro, Small and Medium Scale Businesses.
About 200,000 people are expected to benefit from the soft loan by the Government, in collaboration with the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), Business & Trade Associations and selected Commercial and Rural Banks,
The six hundred million cedis (GH¢600 million), will have a one-year moratorium and two-year repayment period for micro, small and medium scale businesses as stimulus package in the COVID-19 era.
Addressing the media in Accra, Executive Director of the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), Mrs. Kosi Ayeh Yankey said they are engaging stakeholders and training masters of trainees and testing the portal.
She said apart from the portal, another alternative will be introduced for people who cannot access it and the introduction of the Technology is to make the soft loan efficient and transparent for all qualified groups to access.
The Executive director said there will be public education and engagement as well as Advertisement to create awareness for all Qualified Ghanaians to access the loan.
