The Campaign Manager for governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr.Mac Peter Manu has said the party will digitalize its campaign for December 2020 general election as the World continues to fight COVID -19 spread.
According to him, the party will unveil its digital platforms for the campaign soon and start educating electorates on the need to re-elect the NPP administration on social media platforms as well as Print and Electronic media.
In an interview, Mr. Mac Manu said currently the environment is not static and said the campaign team will not divert the attention on the fight against the spread of COVID -19.
Mr. Mac Manu who is currently the Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority held the same position in 2016.
He will be deputized by Minister of Zongo and Inner City Development, Dr. Mustapha Hamid, and Director of Operations at the Presidency, Lord Oblitey Commey.
General Secretary of the party John Boadu will head Campaign Logistics and Operation, the same position he held in the 2016 Campaign.
NPP National Organizer, Sammi Awuku will be his Deputy.
2016 Election campaign team
In 2015, the New Patriotic Party NPP appointed it former National Chairman, Peter Mac Manu to lead the party’s campaign team in 2016.
The other members of the campaign team are Boakye Agyarko as Policy Adviser and former General Secretary Dan Botwe as Campaign Strategist.
Current National Organiser, John Boadu has been placed in charge of Operations and would be supported by current National Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku, National Women’s Organiser – Otiko Afisa Djaba, and the Nasara Coordinator, Kamal Deen.
