Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, has sharply criticized the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the administration for failing to implement several of the promises outlined in the NDC platform.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye, speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, argued that the recent cracks within the New Patriotic Party do not give the NDC the moral right to advise the NPP on how to run its affairs; rather, that energy should be channeled into fulfilling the NDC’s 2024 manifesto to Ghanaians.
He claims that the “no-fees stress” campaign policy, which was implemented by President John Dramani Mahama to lessen the burden of fees for first-year tertiary students in public schools, has evolved into what he refers to as post-stress support because first-year students are left with the difficult task of raising money to pay for their education before the government struggles to reimburse them.
“We know the history of political parties in Ghana. You cannot advise us. Keep your advice to yourself and give it yourself when it’s your turn to elect your flagbearer. NDC does not have the gravitas to advise us. Tell me, in the last twelve months, what life-changing policy the NDC has implemented.
“We need to call the government out to do the work. Today, as we speak, you promised Ghanaian students who have gained admission into tertiary institutions that you are going to pay for the first tuition fees by introducing the “no stress fee’ for level 100 students. You have been in office for 1 year, not a single Ghanaian student has benefited from the policy, rather the no stress fee has become post stress support” he stated.
