Kennedy Agyapong’s Spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, has criticized rumors that he has defected from the New Patriotic Party (NPP)
He asserts that Kennedy Agyapong is still an NPP member and would not quit the party because the delegates did not choose him to be the flagbearer.
Kwasi Kwarteng claims that he will back Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the party in their 2028 power struggle.
Kwasi Kwarteng, who made this known in a post shared via social media, said “Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has not and will not break away from the New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom)”.
His remarks follow rumors that Kennedy Agyapong left the party after not receiving the nod for flagbearership.
According to the sources, Kennedy Agyapong founded a movement that will eventually become a political party and run for office in 2028.
