The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) in the Eastern region effective Monday, May 25, 2020, will ration water supply in Koforidua and its environs.
The rationing will be for two days intervals.
According to Management of GWCL this has been necessitated by an increase in demand for water since the government announced free three months water supply for all Ghanaians as part of Covid-19 relief packages.
“The Management of Ghana Water Company Ltd, Eastern Region wishes to inform the general public especially consumers in Koforidua and its environs that effective Monday 25th May 2020, there will be rationing of water supply in the Municipality.
The rationing program is to enable the Company to serve its customers better according to a statement from management and sighted by mybrytfmonline.com. This is as a result of the increase in demand during this period of free water supply.
The rationing will be for 2 days intervals hence the need to store water and make judicious use of it.” The Public Relations officer of the GWCL, Eastern Region, Kojo Daase said in a statement issued Friday May 22, 2020 and a copy to mybrytfmonline.com.
