Ghana has confirmed 131 new COVID-19 cases which have pushed the country’s case count to 6,617 as of Saturday, May 23, 2020, according to Ghana Health Service’s latest update.
The latest update has seen a significant jump in cases recorded in Ashanti Region crossing 1,000 case marks.
27 more people have recovered from the disease in the country increasing the recoveries to 1,978.
Eastern region has recorded 11 new cases since May 20, 2020 pushing the regional case count to 117 but it has since not reflected at the national level.
New Juaben South recorded 2 cases while Birim North also recorded a case on Friday but all have not reflected in the update hence Eastern Region case count on the national data still stands at 106.
