The Black Stars of Ghana will play the Elephants of Ivory Coast. Ghana will be led by new coach Carlos Queiroz. The team will be without star player Mohammed Kudus who pulled out to recover fully.
The match is the first game in Group C of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. It is a very important game for Ghana to start the journey to return to AFCON after missing the last tournament.
The game will be played at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake in Ivory Coast.

Ghana needs a good start to qualify for the 2027 AFCON which will be held in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Group C also has Gambia and Somalia, but Ivory Coast is seen as the toughest team in the group. A good result away will give Ghana hope.
Ghana will need to play with strong defence and quick attack. The team is missing Kudus, so young players like Mohammed Fuseini will get the chance to show what they can do. GFA President Kurt Okraku says the team has improved after a good show at the last World Cup and the fear of losing is gone. The Black Stars must stay calm and take their chances to get points in Bouake.
