One person is injured in a building collapse incident at Amanase Zongo in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region.
Two other occupants in the building however managed to escape unhurt.
The incident occurred after a four-hour heavy downpour in the area. Part of the building suddenly collapsed when the occupants were preparing to sleep around 8:30pm.
The injured, Mawusi, a pupil suffered an injury on the leg after debris fell on it while attempting to escape.
The Ayensuano District Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Joseph Okai Gyan confirmed the incident to mybrytfmonline.com adding that disaster control officers have visited the scene for assessment and has also directed for the demolition of the other parts of the collapsed building.
