Accra Hearts of Oak Board member Alhaji Braimah Moro popularly known as Alhaji Akambi has asked the public to be judges after he was exonerated by an investigative body set up to unravel a bribery accusation leveled towards him, according to media reports.
Alhaji Akambi was accused of taking a GHC 200 before introducing Nkoranza Warriors Chief Executive Officer Kuuku Bartels to the Board Chairman Togbe Afede.
His situation was compounded by some sections of the fans who had raised concerns that Alhaji Akambi had influenced the signing of Emmanuel Sarkodie from the Division One club.
He was later accused of accepting bribes from the Division One club, and further demanding a percentage on the transfer of the player should Hearts of Oak eventually sign him [Sarkodie]
But the former National Chapters Committee Secretary, Maxwell Asabere also revealed to Oyerepa FM that, it was the board chairman of the club, Togbe Afede who exonerated Alhaji Akambi and not the committee.
However, Alhaji Akambi in an interview with Sylvester Ntim ‘Koke’ of Bryt FM said, “I would not like to comment about the issue with regards to the bribery allegation and my exoneration”
“Since the issue came I have decided not to talk about it because there is been a committee that has sat down and then they have come out with whatever they have come out, so the remaining one is left to the public to judge. I don’t have to talk about it” Akambi said.
