Former Liberty Professionals and 1995 U17 world cup winner, Awudu Issaka has rated himself as one of the best Ghanaian players to ever play the game.
Despite admitting he didn’t achieve his dream of becoming a superstar in Africa, he said, he should be counted among the top ten footballers in the country.
“When we are naming the top ten players who made it in their career, I’m sure I will be remembered because of my record. I don’t regret playing football. It has helped me a lot” he told Kwaku Sarpong Sarkodie of Bryt FM in an interview.
“I will always be grateful to God because a chunk of the Ghanaian populace recognizes me as a great footballer. I have established an academy to help the young ones. So I don’t regret choosing football as a career” he said.
