A year and half old baby boy has been abducted at Gbawe in Weija Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The abducted baby is believed to have been strangulated into a sack by the unknown suspect while playing with his 10-year-old sister at the back of their house.
The incident occurred three days ago.
The ten(10) year old who was babysitting for the missing baby narrated that she left her younger brother alone and rushed to the washroom to urinate but could not find him upon her return however saw a man suspiciously moving with a sack dangling at his back.
According to her, she saw something moving in the sack which caused the Suspect to wobble in his movement but was not sure of the content, therefore, failed to raise alarm when the whereabouts of the baby was asked until she later realized her younger brother might have been abducted by the suspect by which time he has dashed out of the area.
The traumatized mother of the missing baby, Bernice Victor appealed amidst tears to the security agencies and Ghanaians alike to help find her missing son.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for the Weija–Gbawe Constituency, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah has sent a delegation led by the Constituency Chairman of the NPP -Michael Danquah to commiserate with the family and gather more information to ensure same is forwarded to the necessary quarters to help find the baby and arrest the abductor.
