Chief Executive Officer of Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has put his friendship with the President, His Excellency Akuffo Addo on the line as he tells the President to fire the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East who doubles as the Minister for Special Development Initiatives, Hon Hawa Koomson.
According to Franklin Cudjoe, the act of the Member of Parliament was uncalled for, and for that matter, the President needs to sack her from her post as a minister.
Mr. Cudjoe added that the President shouldn’t accept any resignation letter from her but instead show her the door.
Hon. Hawa Koomson on Monday, July 20, 2020, admitted of firing gunshots at a registration center in Kasoa in the Central Region after she felt threatened while touring some registration centers in her constituency. And for that reason couldn’t help it so she fired the gunshots to protect herself.
“I’m a Member of Parliament, I need to protect myself. It was at dawn; my police escort had not started work yet. So, that is the modus operandi I engaged in his absence,” she said in an interview.
The police who were present did not arrest her and the executive, led by the President, has not said anything yet on the matter.
