NPP Political leaders in Kwahu tour Afram Plains to ignite party members and advised them to actively participate in the on-going voter’s registration exercise.
Leader of the delegation who happens to be the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency Hon Bryan Acheampong who doubles as Minister of State in-charge of Interior has urged all eligible commuters in the area who are of sound mind to go out and register. So that they can exercise their civic responsibilities on 7th December 2020, to elect a government of their choice in a free and fair election.
Hon Bryan Acheampong says it must be the collective responsibility of Ghanaians to ensure that the country has a register, fit for purpose for the conduct of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Hon Isaac Agyapong, MCE for Kwahu East averred that “using your God-given and constitutional rights costs nothing, but staying home can come at a very steep price. The pandemic, notwithstanding, we have to strengthen Ghanaian democracy”.
Describing the compilation of the voters’ register as one of the most important tasks in the effective functioning of any democracy, the Parliamentary Candidate for Mpraeso Constituency, Davis Opoku Ansah noted that if an eligible citizen’s name is not on the register, that citizen cannot exercise the right to vote, and cannot, therefore, participate in the determination of the choice of the government of the day.
The delegation who toured Afram Plains includes Mp for Abetifi Constituency, Hon Bryan Acheampong, Hon Isaac Agyapong, MCE Kwahu East, Davis Opoku Ansah, Parliamentary candidate Mpraeso Constituency, Isaac Kwaku Addo, NPP’s Abetifi Constituency Chairman and the entire Constituency Executives.
They received overwhelming support from all NPP faithful and qualified delegates and constituency executives in the area.
