The youth have been charged to get closer to the aged in our various communities, to tap the rich knowledge they possess.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Respo Community Elderly-Care Educational Foundation (RESPOCEF), Bishop Apostle Peggy Owusu-Twum Jones gave the advice at Akyem Apedwa in Abuakwa South municipality, when she donated health and food items to the aged.
According to her, the aged are full of knowledge and experiences, and therefore, advised the youth to get closer to them for guidance.
“It is time for the youth to get closer to the aged and learn from them before they join their ancestors. This is because the aged have rich knowledge in their grey hairs” Bishop Apostle Jones indicated.
Bishop Apostle Peggy Jones, who is also the Founder of Power Grace Deliverance Chapel International, fetes aged persons from Akyem Asiakwa, Apedwa, Koforidua, Akuapem Adawso, and Nyamebekyere.
She donated assorted foodstuffs to the aged to cushion them this festive season while that Akyem Apedwa Clinic also received wheelchairs to help in quality health care delivery.
She, however, urged Non-Governmental organizations, philanthropists as well as cooperate bodies to do their bid in ensuring the aged are well catered for.
Her husband, Bishop Richard Jones in his part, pledged their continuous support to both the aged and less privileged to ensure their living standards well managed.
