Three (3) persons, two females and a Male have died in a fatal vehicular accident at Akyem Osino stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highways in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred Thursday morning.
According to Fanteakwa South District Operation Director of the National Disaster Management Organization, Mahama Idrisu, the accident occurred when a speeding Toyota Regius Ace with registration number GX 1250_ 19 headings towards Kumasi collided head-on with a Suzuki car with registration number GE 1815_ 09 from the opposite direction towards Accra
He said the two died on the way while being rushed to the hospital but the other died while receiving treatment at Hawa Memorial Hospital.
Bodies of the deceased deposited at the morgue pending identification.
Meanwhile, two victims are said to be in critical condition hence rushed to Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.
