Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said that free university education can only be achieved under the competent leadership of President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to the Vice President, the NPP government is planning to introduce free tertiary education for Ghanaians to benefit.
Speaking to the Chiefs and people of Chereponi in the Northern Region, Dr Bawumia said the New Patriotic Party has proved doubters wrong by implementing the free SHS policy.
Dr Bawumia said that the 2020 general election is about the future of all Ghanaians and not few Ghanaians adding that they are working hard to make university education free to Ghanaians.
“Very soon, our children will also enjoy free university education,” he assured.
Dr Bawumia also expressed that when President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo promised the free Senior High School the NDC and Mahama said it was 419 but today you are all witnesses to the programme.
“We have performed better across the board and the records have shown,” he revealed.
Dr Bawumia said the NPP will not resort to tribalism to solicit for votes because they are meant to serve all Ghanaians.
“This election is about the future of every part of Ghana. The president made it clear that this election with the former President is about records which Ghanaians will all witnesses adding that it is not an election of tribalism,’’ said Dr Bawumia.
