Mr. Zack Brown, Chairman, Tokyo chapter of the NPP-Japan branch has reiterated that Nana Addo-led government deserve 4 more years to bring Ghana to a level comparable to the other higher middle-income countries.
Comparing the Ex-president Mahama’s to vision president Nana Addo, he said the visionless ex-president came into power through accident and did “a try and error” approach to governance which brought untold and avoidable hardships to many people of our beloved country due to lack of vision.
He tried his best to have a plan/vision for the good people of Ghana but never succeeded because as the old adage goes “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
The vision president Nana Addo, according to the statement signed by Acting Secretary, Mr. Isaac Kwaku Adu, came into power with a well-thought plan/vision to liberate Ghanaian from bad policies from the NDC-led administration, he said.
At the end of the last national executives meeting of the NPP-Japan branch held in Tokyo, both the national and chapter executives (made up of Kanagawa and Tokyo chapters) are of the firm conviction that Nana deserves 4 more years to push Ghana to the next level of development.
The aim of the last meeting was to assess 2019 and put solid strategies for the 2020 election as efforts are underway to support the NPP to retain power.
The branch chairman, Dr. Benard Kwame Oppong-Kusi making an argument to lay the platform to invite the other executives to explain why the Nana Addo must be given 4 more years inform them not to remain mute on the achievements made so far by the NPP-led government. When Ghana’s economic growth had slowed down to 3.6% in 2016, with high inflation of 17.5% and high unemployment rate, at the time when more young people were leaving the shores of Ghana for greener pastures abroad, the well-respected Ghanaians saw the need to bring in the Oseadeeye Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo a man who had promised jobs and make investments in farming, industries, and education, he said.
