Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said that it is not the NPP nor Ghanaians who are calling defeat for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) but their uncivilized inability exhibited during their tenure in office is describing their fail in the upcoming election.
Addressing a durbar in the Upper West Region, the Vice President indicates that the NDC virtually collapsed the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and also botched to come up with a single social intervention programme to alleviate the plight of the people.
According to Bawumia, John Dramani Mahama mishandled the economy and headed over wanton corruption that brought serious hardship to Ghanaians.
During the NDC era, they increased utility tariffs at 45% under dumsor, SADA became a mess under them and also they were not able to pay teachers/nursing training allowances and these are some of their failures that are leading them to their downfall.
Hence, the competent government, Akufo-Addo’s and his achievements such as the Free Senior High School initiative, one village one dam, one district one factory, and the restoration of the teachers and nurses training allowances have declared his victory in the election.
“When they say the NDC will lose the impending election, it is not us who are saying but it is because of their mismanagement of the economy that makes people say so.
Dr Bawumia then begged Ghanaians to vote heavily for the NPP in the December 7, election so that the Akufo-Addo will continue to do more for the country.
