A Cargo Truck driver has died in a fatal accident at Suhum.
The accident occurred at 11:30pm at Niifio on the Accra – Kumasi Highway.
The Cargo Truck with registration number BA 941-13 carrying goods including Chinese doors, Spaghetti, Body creams, Body splash, spray, and NIDO from Accra to Kumasi skidded off the road and crashed at the roadside.
Two drivers onboard truck sustained serious injuries. One driver was trapped in the car.
It took the intervention of personnel of Ghana Red Cross Accident Response Volunteers in Niifio, the Police, and Fire Service to extricate the victims.
They were taken to the Suhum Government Hospital for treatment however one of the drivers was pronounced dead a few hours later.
