A Burkina Faso bound DAF Cargo Truck has horrifically crashed two buses leading to the death of at least fourteen (14) passengers while over 80 others have sustained serious injuries.
The accident occurred at Kyekyewere Community near Nsawam to Suhum stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway in the Eastern Region on Tuesday morning around 5:30am.
Body parts of the victims were found littered all over the accident scene.
The dead persons include a Child.
The fully loaded DAF Cargo Truck from Accra direction heading towards Kumasi burst a tyre hence veered off its single lane and crashed two buses fully loaded with passengers from Kumasi to Accra.
The Buses are STC bus with registration number GE 8131-16 and another Bus with registration Number GT4997 -20.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service, Ambulance, and National Disaster Management Organization were at the scene to rescue the victims to Nsawam and Suhum Government Hospitals. While dead bodies and pieces of body parts conveyed to the morgue.
