One person is reportedly dead and others injured in a Church wall collapsed incident during Saturday’s flooding at Kasoa SCC area in Weija Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Parts of the Greater Accra Region submerged after heavy downpour over the weekend destroying millions of cedis worth of properties and displacing hundreds.
The situation was devastating in the Kasoa SCC area. An eyewitness Madam Serwaa Akoto narrated that some residents took upon themselves to desilting a gutter to allow free flow of the flash flood waters but in the process, a wall of Power Revelation Chapel founded by Agya Dan’s suddenly collapsed on them.
She said, 26 years old Mohammed Albert Sackey was trapped under the rubbles and was extricated and rushed to the hospital but unfortunately was pronounced dead on arrival.
Nephew of the deceased Horris Sackey told Bryt Fm News Correspondent Eric Amponsah that, the deceased left behind three months old baby.
He said the deceased was the breadwinner of the house hence his death big blow to the family.
Meanwhile, some angry friends of the deceased stormed the premises of Prophet Agya Dan’s Church to cause commotion resulting in the firing of warning shots by some persons close to the Prophet.
