The Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Lower West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region, Mr. Michael Adusei has vowed to make the capital of the Constituency, Asamankese, a furniture Hub and Market Center when elected.
He noted that most of the Youth and farmers in the area will get jobs with this agenda.
Speaking with the media, Mr. Michael Adusei revealed that about 70% of the Youth in the Area are jobless and those doing the job are into wood work.
He said the furniture work will be expanded into Furniture Hub in the Constituency when the people give him the mandate to serve as Member of Parliament and will train more Youth locally and sponsor others to go abroad for new skills for the woodwork.
The aspirant noted that due to the poor nature of roads in the Constituency, most farmers are not able to transport their foodstuff and vegetables to the main market in the capital and they are being cheated also, adding, such issue will be addressed with the introduction of Market Center under his term in office.
Mr. Adusei pledged to lobby for better prices for farmers and will bring people to purchase farm produced in the Area.
The Parliamentary aspirant called on his supporters to conduct the campaign with the message and avoid insult and personality attack and called on the people to reject the NPP who have been occupying the seat since 2000 and was optimistic that his Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama will win this year’s seat.
