The Deputy Eastern Regional Chief Imam, Aliu Abubakar Abdhali has advised Zongo youth to desist from electoral violence.
“I think it is useless, it doesn’t help the nation because you are teaching the youth anything, teaching somebody to be violent doesn’t help anybody,” he said during a campaign tour of the Presidential Candidate of APC Hassan Ayariga to Koforidua Zongo in the Eastern Region.
The Deputy Regional Chief Imam stated that it is reckless for politicians to incite the youth to foment trouble during the election since violence has no place in development.
“My advice to the youth and any other person is to be calm. If there are twenty competitors, there is going to be only one winner so we should understand that, if you are a Christian or Moslem, we are one people so there should be peace and harmony,” he stated.
