Spezia forward Emmanuel Gyasi has no qualms with Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor for ignoring him in his latest call-up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifier against Sudan.
The 26-year-old holds an Italian passport having been born in the Sicilian city of Palermo and also a Ghanaian one by virtue of his parents, who moved to the Mediterranean nation to seek a better life.
Gyasi however has reiterated his desire to represent the Black Stars but is yet to receive a call-up.
Despite being overlooked by the technical handlers of the Black Stars he indicated that he is not shaken by the snub and has promised to work hard to grab call up.
“I want to represent Ghana so I will continue to work hard at club level. I will not allow what happened last month to pull me down” AshesGyamera.com
“I have been consistent at the club level and play in the Serie A every week so I was expecting the coach to at least give me a chance. It didn’t happen but I know my time will come one day,” he added.
Gyasi has been one of the outstanding players for the Italian Serie A outfit in the ongoing season.
