A 52, public toilet attendant, Kwaku Ankamah has been arrested for allegedly defiling a six(6) year old girl while defecating in the toilet facility he operates in Awutu Beraku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
He has since been arraigned before the Kasoa Ofaakor Circuit Court and has been remanded into Police Custody to reappear before the court on November 16, 2020.
Kasoa Divisional commanding officer of Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit(DOVVSU), ASP Doris Laryea told Bryt FM News Central Regional Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah that, the victim went to attend natures call at about 5:30 pm but the accused person realizing that nobody was around he defiled the victim.
The accused, later wanted an amicable settlement which the family rejected and reported the incident to the Police.
She said the medical form issued to the duly endorsed and confirmed by the medical doctor who examined the victim.
