Former President Jerry John Rawlings has congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for their impressive victory as the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect respectively of the United States of America.
He wrote on his Twitter timeline, “Congratulations to President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris.
Congratulations to President-Elect @JoeBiden and Vice President-Elect @KamalaHarris. The world is expectant as a new era of United States leadership dawns. We look forward to the leadership that embraces unity, compassion, and maturity.
Also, Former President John Dramani Mahama has said the resilience of US President-Elect, Joe Biden is very admirable.
He wrote on his social media platforms on Saturday, November 7, “Congratulations US President-elect Joe Biden. Your resilience is admirable.”
Mr. Mahama said, “It’s taken sheer grit and determination to chalk this victory. I look forward to us working together for the mutual benefit of our two countries and for a better world that ensures social justice and sustainable development.
In a related development, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says he is hoping that U.S. President-Elect Joe Biden’s tenure as President of the United States of America “will be marked by the delivery of unity, security, progress and prosperity to all Americans”.
Akufo-Addo stated: “On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, I extend my warmest congratulations to the President-Elect of the United States of America, Vice President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., on his decisive victory in the elections of 3rd November 2020. I also congratulate Senator Kamala Harris on becoming the first woman Vice President-Elect of the United States.”
President Akufo-Addo hoped that under the Presidency of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the “relations between Ghana and the United States of America will continue to grow from strength to strength, relations which have, over the years, been based on a shared agenda of freedom, development, progress, and prosperity.
