Oseadeeyo Ameyaw Akumfi IV, the Paramount Chief of Techiman Traditional Area, endorsed President Akufo-Addo and urged the people to support his government by voting to retain it in power in the general election.
He said the Government had done a lot for the Municipality in terms of development and that the creation of the Bono East Region alone remained its greatest achievement.
The chief said this when President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cut the sod for construction work to begin on an ultra-modern market complex at Techiman in the Bono East Region.
The market, when complete, will have 70 stalls, a shopping mall, 13 shops, a restaurant, educational nursery block, food court, administration block, police post, fire station, clinic, revenue offices, and grill shops.
It is being funded through the Urban Development Grant of the Assembly, under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme.
In September 2020, Nana Osore Krunku III, the Acting President and Kyidomhene of Nkomi Traditional Area in the Sene East District of the Bono East Region, says the Chiefs and people of his Traditional Area are confident that the people of Ghana will give the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the New Patriotic Party in the December 2020 elections.
