At least 14 persons are injured in a gas explosion incident that occurred Wednesday dawn at Ho the Volta regional capital.
According to residents, the explosion occurred at Mighty Gas filing station located few meters away from the Ho Teaching Hospital along the Ho-Kpetoe road.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service responded swiftly to the incident and brought the inferno under control.
The injured persons were chiefly gas attendants and some drivers who went to refill their cylinders.
The victims were rushed to Ho Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Public Relations Officer of Ho Teaching Hospital, Mr Amos Jah, in an interview with the media on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 said the injured persons include 13 males and a female. He said three of the victims are in critical condition hence sent to the surgical theater and intensive Care Unit.
The rest were said to be responding to treatment.
