Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged the people of Ashanti to vote the NDC back into power to continue all the developmental projects that have stalled under the Akufo-Addo government.
According to Mahama, Akufo-Addo has taken the votes of the Ashanti’s for granted, and that is why he has snubbed them after he won power in 2016 hence they should rather tie their knots with the NDC so that they can enjoy their fair share of the national cake.
Speaking to supporters of the NDC at Aboabo in the Samwise Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Mahama averred that President Akufo-Addo does not take the people in the Ashanti Region serious that’s why they lack many infrastructural projects.
“Akufo-Addo’s decision to license projects started in the region under his past administration is symbolic of how much Akufo-Addo does not take the votes of the governing New Patriotic Party’s stronghold seriously,” he said.
“Akufo-Addo does not have an automatic right to a second term so reject him and join the umbrella family, Mr Mahama added.
