The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Samuel Nuertey Ayertey who was defeated in his second attempt to snatch the Lower Manya Krobo Parliamentary seat from the opposition NDC says he will continue to support development in the area despite his loss.

A statement authored by the Deputy Minister on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, said “gratitude, they say, is the best attitude. Barely a week today, had the people of Lower Manya Krobo and by extension, Ghana, spoken through the ballot. We’ve decided for the next four years and I believe the decision, reflect the will of the ordinary citizens”
He continued “even though, I was unsuccessful, am so confident and much committed to the work that I’ve begun in the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency. I will continue to support and help develop the Constituency with or without a political portfolio as a son of the land. Once again, thanks to everyone who voted for me and the President, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo.”
