Michael Okyere Baafi has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA).
Michael Okyere Baafi a businessman and Politician born on 12 March 1976 was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Free Zones Authority by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2017.
On Monday, January 4, 2020, Staff and Management of the Ghana Free Zones Authority paid a glowing tribute to Mr. Michael Okyere Baafi who is now the Member of Parliament elect for New Juaben South Constituency in the Eastern Region as he bids farewell to them.
During a send-off ceremony, Mr. Baafi expressed his appreciation to the staff of the authority for their cooperation and hard work during his tenure of office.
Okyere Baafi has been hailed for transforming GFZA positioning it on an enviable pedestal attracting more direct foreign investments.
The astute Chartered Marketer was ranked best-performing CEO by FAKS in 2018 and ranked the best performing Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by Asempa FM’s “Ekosii Sen” political program in 2019.
Mr. Okyere Baafi was elected Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency in the just ended Parliamentary and Presidential elections and expected to be sworn-in in Parliament on January 6, 2021.
