Business is booming since Friday, 15th 2021 for Barbers in Asamankese of the West Akyem Municipality in the Eastern Region over School Reopening.
Some of the Barbers who were recording between Gh₵40 to Gh₵60.00 daily are now recording from Gh₵100.00 to Gh₵150.00 daily because most students are rushing to them to cut, dress, groom, style, and shave their hair for School.
Most of these students are females who turned into adults with different hairstyles such as Bob, Braided, Bun, Cornrows, Crew Cut, Dyed, Goth, Layers, Pixie, Ponytail, and many others.
One of the Barbers, Kwame Nicholas in an interview said he has been receiving new clients, mostly students since last Friday, 15th January, and said the weekend was more successful than usual.
Another Barber, Kwame Peprah also revealed that he usually works from 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekends due to low sales but on 16th and 17th January most students came to his shop and he worked until 9;30pm before closing.
Hair cut in the West Akyem Municipality ranges from Gh₵3.00 to Gh₵10.00 depending on the age of the client and hairstyle the person wants.
