Robert Asibu has resigned as head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs citing death threats as reasons behind his resignation.
The mysterious club has had a difficult start to the season after going four games without a victory into the Ghana Premier League Season.
However, angry supporters of the club have called for his exit due to their shambolic performance.
Asibu after their 2-1 defeat to Liberty Professionals said “I can’t be with Dwarfs and lose my life because about 90% of the club supporters attack me physically and spiritually”
“I have realized that if I don’t take care I will die because of the team, so I have stopped” he emphasized.
“The supporters have their selfish interest and want to destroy my life. My family, church and everything is important to me so have stopped to save my life” he ended.
According to him, he felt sick before the commencement of the league season and is worried about the team that he has sacrificed for are chanting against him.
Ebusua Dwarfs are buttons on the GPL table without a point.
