Ghana and Swansea City star Andre Ayew is set to miss his side’s Championship game against Queens Park Rangers today, April 20, due to injury.
The 31-year old suffered a hamstring injury and was forced out of the game against Wycombe Wanderers last Saturday which ended 2-2 on home turf.
Ayew picked up the injury in the opening minutes and was taken off due for precautionary measures.
The enterprising midfielder will miss the clubs game against QPR and in his absence, striker Liam Cullen is expected to fill the void after making a stunning return to action against the Choirboys.
He has been the go-to man for the Welsh club in the ongoing campaign as they push to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League next season.
Ayew has scored 15 goals in 40 appearances for his side, registering four assists.
His absence will be a big blow to Steve Cooper’s side ahead of their promotion races.
Swansea is currently placed third with 76 points and may have to go through the playoffs to qualify for the English Premier League next season.
