The Bosome Freho District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Yaw Danso has rubbished allegations leveled against him on a popular Ghanaweb.com publication that he is involved in illegal mining (galamsay) activities in the area.
In a press statement issued by the District Chief Executive on Wednesday, 21st April, 2021, he stated that the publication in question was purported by his opponents eyeing the DCE position to tarnish his name as well as his integrity.
“One of the misleading publication on the popular Ghanaweb.com, dated 1st February 2021, was attributed to a former party executive, Mr. Yaw Amoah Gyami under the headline: “Our DCE is behind galamsey activities in Bosome Freho – Former NPP Executive” that accusation is also wholly false” the statement reads.
” In the same publication, they described me as a galamsey ‘kingpin’ in the area and fronting for Chinese nationals to engage in illegal mining. I hereby state emphatically that such information is false and shouldn’t be given any mileage”.
According to him, anyone who knows his involvement in galamsey should boldly come out and show him his concession in the area where he operates.
He said the commuters can attest to his good works in terms of developmental projects undertaken in the last four years under his watch in the district.
Hon. Yaw Danso has therefore implore all to ignore all publications in the media space which meant to destroy his hard-won reputation.
