The Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region Thomas Ampem Nyarko in partnership with Heaven Relief, a non-governmental organization, donated second-hand clothing, shoes, and others items to Abomayaw, a farming community in the constituency as part of the MP’s thank-you tour.
Many poor parents and guardians struggling to pay school fees and buy educational materials for their children were also supported.
The exercise saw hundreds of excited residents in long queues to benefit from the MP’s kind gesture.
Thomas Ampem Nyarko acknowledged the need for various interventions to relieve his constituents from the quagmire of poverty and hardship.
He assured the residents that he will continue to explore available opportunities through strategic partnerships to gradually fix the social-economic challenges facing the constituency.
The MP commended Heaven Relief NGO for their support. He said his office is committed to facilitating activities of any NGO willing to provide service to humanity in the constituency.
The Chiefs and Elders of the Abomayaw community were full of praise to the MP and the NGO.
Present at the event were the Constituency Executives of the opposition NDC including Secretary Bright Sikanku, and Communication officer Bright Ofosu.
