The Political show Host for Theovision Radio Network (Nkonim FM) in Asamankese of the Eastern Region, David Mensah Atakora has urged pupils and students to choose their future careers and role models as early as possible.
He noted that to be successful in life, every student should start working on their career in childhood by walking, interacting, and learning from their role models.
Mr. David Mensah Atakora, who doubles as News Editor said this when he delivered a keynote address as a resource person for the National Commission for Civic Education(NCCE) in West Akyem for the 2021 Annual Citizenship week celebration.
He also called on students in Junior High school students in their final year to consult their Teachers before selecting Senior High Schools and courses to be studied.
They charged students to at least complete Senior High school before considering an apprenticeship and stressed the need for students to choose Technical and Vocational courses to address the unemployment rate in the Country.
The National Commission for Civic Education in West Akyem Municipal of the Eastern Region began a week-long citizenship week celebration in some schools to interact will students in Basic and Junior High school.
The theme for this year’s citizenship week celebration is “we are one, Ghana First ” and 26 schools will benefit from this year’s program in the Municipality.
The NCCE in West Akyem, led by their Director, Madam Modesta Annie Sapay has begun touring Schools yesterday with Influential persons to interact with students to teach them their rights and responsibilities.
