Three suspects have been admitted to bail by New Abirim Magistrate Court for conspiring and tying a six-year-old boy to a mango tree over alleged stolen money.
The three accused persons include the grandfather of the victim whom he was staying with at Akyem Ntronang.
They are expected to reappear before the court Wednesday, July 8, 2021.
The inhumane treatment of the boy captured in the video suggests that the boy was tied to a mango tree for nine hours before he was rescued by the police.
On Sunday, the grandfather alleged that the victim has stolen his Ghc50, however, the boy denied the allegation.

Infuriated by the denial, the grandfather seeks the assistance of the two accomplices to help him tie the victim to the mango tree and abandoned him at the mercy of the weather without food nor water for nine hours before finally rescued by Police.
The New Abirim District Police Commander DSP Peter Ofori Donkor confirmed the incident stating that the victim was sent to the hospital, treated, and discharged the next day and has since been reintegrated to his biological mother.
