Kwaebibirem United have been declared winners in their final Group B Eastern Region Division Two middle league clash against Okwawu United at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu which was abandoned middle of the second half.
The much-anticipated game ended abruptly after supporters of the Nkawkaw based club invaded the pitch to attack referee Emmanuel Kofi Agudavi and his two assistants.
The referee felt unsafe and decided not to continue the match.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Eastern Region Football Association has awarded three points and three goals to Kwaebibirem United by Articles 33 (1) (b).
Okwawu United has been held responsible for causing the game to end abruptly.
Being the defaulting club, Okwawu United shall lose three points from the club’s accumulated points from their previous matches.
Again, being the defaulting club, Okwawu United was fined GH¢1,000.00.

“The protest by Kwaebibirem United FC against Okwawu United FC is upheld”
“For initiating acts responsible for causing the abrupt end of the match, Okwawu United FC has forfeited the match by Article 33 (1) (b) of the Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations”
“Having forfeited the match, the Disciplinary Committee holds that Okwawu United FC has lost the match and accordingly, three points and three goals are awarded in favor of Kwaebibirem United FC”
“Being the defaulting club, Okwawu United FC is deducted three points from the club’s accumulated points from previous matches”
“Okwawu United FC is fined GHC 1,000.00”
The decision by the Disciplinary Committee means Kwaebibirem United has qualified to the finals of the Division One League qualifiers and will lock horns with Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club for the Division One slot.
