Persons appointed to be considered by Assembly members to occupy the chief executive position in the Assemblies across the country have been giving a massive endorsement.
The confirmation started last week and it is expected to end in the second week in October 2021.
Below are results from some Assemblies:
The Assembly Members (AMs) of the Kintampo North Municipality on Tuesday confirmed Mr. Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s Nominee for the Municipal Chief executive (MCE) position with 100 percent yes votes cast. Mr. Ameyaw had all 64 votes cast, 45 elected and 19 government appointees in an election conducted and supervised by the Municipal Office of the Electoral Commission at Kintampo in the Bono East Region.
Mr. Robert Kwakye has been confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante-Akim Central at a meeting of the Assembly at Konongo-Odumasi. He secured 100 percent YES votes from the 35 assembly members who participated in the exercise supervised by the Municipal office of the Electoral Commission (EC) to seal his victory.
Hon. Ike Appau Gyasi, the President’s nominee for New Juabeng South Municipality, Koforidua has been confirmed by the Assembly Members to represent the President as the Municipal Chief Executive Officer for the second time. Out of 47 Assembly Members present and voting, only one member voted against his confirmation, representing 98% of the total vote cast.
Mr. Richmond Agyenim Boateng, the President’s nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, has been confirmed by the members of the Assembly. All the 22 Assembly Members, including seven government appointees, voted YES, to put the nominee on clean 100 percent votes, in an election supervised by the Municipal Electoral Commission (EC).
Mr. Abdulai Murtada, the President’s Nominee for the position of the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nanton in the Northern Region, has been endorsed by Assembly Members of the area.
All the 26 Assembly Members of the Nanton District voted in favor of Mr. Murtada to confirm his nomination as the DCE for the area.
Assembly Members of the Ada East District Assembly have resolved to honor President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with a 100 percent vote to retain Madam Sarah Dugbakie Pobee, District Chief Executive nominee on Friday, October 8th, 2021.
Mr. George Kitingyaab Bingrini, the President’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) for Saboba District in the Northern Region, has been confirmed by Assembly Members of the area. Out of the 37 Assembly Members present during the confirmation votes at Saboba, 34 voted in favor of Mr. Bingrini, representing more than two-thirds of the Assembly Members to confirm his nomination.
A-43-year-old businessman, Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, has been given an overwhelming endorsement to become the new Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly in the Central Region.
In an election conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC), led by the District Electoral Officer, Madam Emelia Ama Akotia, the nominee secured the votes of all 25 assembly members.
