Sixty candidates out of 221 were absent from writing the private Basic Education Certificate Examination in one of the examination centres in Koforidua – Pope John senior high school.
According to the Chairman for West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), Mr Twumasi, they were expecting 221 candidates to write the examination in Pojos but only 161 were present due to the 60 pupils who were unable to appear before the paper.
Mybrytfmonline reporter upon reaching the centre and observing activities ongoing with regards to security saw the vigilant nature of the invigilators alongside four security personals supporting the work with medical team present to care for the health aspects.
