A man with an estimated age of 35 years has been found hanging dead on a mango tree at a public cemetery in Bibiani in the Western North Region.
The deceased was found hanging in a rope around the neck with parts of the body reportedly cut off.
The bizarre incident has thrown the Bibiani community into a state of shock.
An eyewitness Black Prince told Joy Daddy Multimedia Correspondent Hamza Mohammed at the scene of the crime that the deceased is a stranger in the area.
“We are shocked and saddened by the incident. For now, we are waiting for the police to conclude investigation to establish the actual cause of death. It is surprising that someone will commit suicide at a cemetery. But we don’t know him in this area,” the witness said.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
