Staff nurse and a community health nurse at Agyata in the Afram Plains South District of the Eastern region has delivered a woman in labour in the bush.
In the early hours of Monday at about 9:15 am , one Fulani headman reported to the nurses that one of their women , Salamatu Amadu is in labour in the bush.
The Staff Nurse , Acheampong Amos, together with the Community Health Nurse, Ruby Amenuveve accompanied the man to the scene.
Reports say that on arrival, membranes have ruptured with head in vagina.
The mother was assisted and in about 12 minutes, she delivered a bouncy baby boy.
Following some temporal 3 stage management, she was taking on a motorbike for full maternal and newborn care at the Agyata CHPS Zone.
Mother and baby currently doing well and under close observation at the clinic.
