The Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Hon. Adjoa Sarfo and the Deputy majority leader of Parliament has paid a day’s working visit to her constituency to inspect some on-going projects in her constituency.
Hon. Adjoa Sarfo was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive for Ga East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah and party executives at the constituency. The projects include bridges, roads, storm drains gutters among others.
The inspection started from the Atomic junction, Taifa Mr Adjei(Kaiza valley), Dome crossing, Agbogba, Termaa, Ablor Adjei and its environs in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency.
Addressing the media after the inspection, Hon. Adjoa Sarfo said the on-going projects are part of government’s initiatives since they are in power to make sure the people in the constituency benefit from developmental projects.
According to her, the storm drains when completed will help reduce the menace of floods in the constituency during and after the rainy season.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Ga East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Jane Tulasi Mensah added that most residents in the constituency experience flooding during the rainy season and the on-going projects when completed will help control most of the flooding in the municipality.
The Municipal Roads Engineer, Mr Aboakye Foster said there have been several challenges in the constituency whenever it rains. Flooding in the municipality has been one of the biggest challenges the residents face due to the lack of drainage system.
He said when all the storm drains are completed in the constituency; residents who face challenges during the raining season will not face any issues again.
