Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah led residents to commission a new steel bridge on the Asikusie River over the weekend.
The MP and the Information minister were grateful to Engineer Don Kuubeterzie, Chief Engineer of Bridges at the Department of Feeder Roads.
He stressed, “Our thanks further go to the workers who fixed the new bridge, the Chiefs and people of Anyinase, Adjobue, Otwereso and Asubiase for their cooperation”.
Mr Oppong Nkrumah could not hide his appreciation to President Akufo-Addo and Roads Minister, Amoako Atta for never turning their back on their requests.
This new bridge will cut travel time, reduce travel costs and bring further relief to the people in Ofoase/Ayirebi.
