A 26-year-old nurse, Alice Osarfo Anyamesem has been allegedly killed by his boyfriend at Tepa – Akwasiase in the Ahafo Ano north municipality of the Ashanti region.
According to reports, Alice Osafo, the deceased, had threatened to break up with the suspect, Ebenezer Agyei Acheampong, after learning he was married with two children.
He is alleged to have stabbed Alice in the throat during an altercation on Friday morning, according to reports.
This was confirmed by the deceased person’s brother, Emmanuel Osafo, on Monday’s Dwaso Nsem program on Adom FM.
The suspect told his late sister he was a building contractor, but it turned out he was actually a carpenter, so the relationship was founded on a lie.
When my sister learned that her boyfriend was married as well, she was furious and tried to break up with him, but Ebenezer refused, he said.
How the news got to the media
The landlady of the deceased, Madam Akua speaking to the media explained the deceased had been in her house about one year ago and he introduced the suspect to her as her boyfriend.
The landlady added that on Sunday night, a co-tenant woke her up that the nurse is loudly calling her name.
When they decide to knock at the door to inquire about what is happening to her, a man’s voice came from the room saying “Alice is asleep so they went back to sleep”.
Madam Akua revealed the nurse was unusually still in her room the next morning so she then invited his father who later discovered the nurse has been murdered in the room.
The father of the deceased Evangelist Akwasi Osarfo Emmanuel also explained that the landlady of the deceased came to him in the morning and told him that they heard Alice struggling with someone in her room.
Meanwhile, upon arrival at the house after the information, her daughter was seen lying in a pool of blood dead.
He added he became very angry with the tenant and the landlady for doing nothing when they heard her struggling with someone.
He was, however, surprised the alleged boyfriend of the deceased who is a carpenter has failed to pick up his call after the incident.
He added that the suspect, who committed the crime, is currently at large.
