At the sidelines of the International Machinery Forum 2022 in Vienna, Austria Trade and Industry minister, Alan Kyeremanten paid a visit to Kreuzmayr Maschinenbau GmbH and Pottinger Landtechnik GmbH.
The companies are engaged in the design and manufacturing of agro-processing machinery, plants, and equipment and have installed factory plants in Ghana for some companies under the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s flagship One District One Factory (1D1F) programme.
The minister had fruitful discussions with the companies on the possibility of establishing their manufacturing plants in Ghana to take advantage of the enormous opportunities under the AfCFTA and also supporting the operationalization of the Technology Solution Centres (TSCs) which is being implemented by the Rural Enterprises Programme and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
He was accompanied by Ambassador Philbert Abaka Johnson, Ghana’s Ambassador to Austria, Mr. Gustav Dovlo, Senior Official of Ghana’s Embassy in Vienna, and Mr. Martin Woller, Regional Director for Africa & Middle East, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
