Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to appreciate the spirited performance of the Black Stars despite losing to Portugal.
In a Fcaebook post, the Vice President said “While we are all downhearted by the unfortunate loss by the Black Stars to Portugal, we must appreciate that they put up a spirited performance and acquitted themselves well”.
He said Ghanaians may be down, but we are certainly not out and we should not despair.
He therefore called on Ghanaians to remain united behind the Black Stars and support them strongly in the remaining group matches.
The Black Stars lost to the Portuguese in its World cup opener by 3-2.
