There is anger at Manhyia District hospital after the father of a new female doctor doing her Housemanship stormed the facility to verbally abuse a nurse for intimidating her daughter who is a new doctor undergoing Housemanship.
The man identified as Ashanti Regional director of the National Service Secretariat (NSS), Alex Opoku-Mensah is heard on tape verbally assaulting the nurse at the surgical unit of the hospital that she has no moral right to speak to her daughter anyhow because she (The nurse) used sexual favours to gain admission.
He went on to taut the academic credentials of her daughter which the nurse cannot compare herself.
Apparently, the daughter of the man had reported to him that the nurse has been intimidating her.
Alex Opoku -Mensah who is also a top official of the ruling NPP in the Ashanti region furiously went to the hospital to insult the nurse and threatened her.
The entire incident created a chaotic scene at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Register Nurses and Midwifery Association in Ashanti Region is furious about the development and demanding an apology.
The association is expected to issue an official statement on the development.
