Residents of Krobo Junction, a suburb in the New Juaben South municipality of the Eastern region have bemoaned bitterly over the deplorable state of town roads.
According to them, they have petitioned the lawmaker for New Juaben South, Okyere Baafi and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Isaac Apaw Gyasi to reconstruct the deplorable roads for them but authorities have failed to meet their demand.
They indicated the MP promised to construct the roads during the 2020 campaign to help ease the challenges of the residents and improve the standard of living of the electorates in the country.
The residents, therefore, pleaded with the lawmaker to fulfil his promise by reconsidering the bad roads.
The drivers who use the roads revealed that they spend their daily income on spare parts as a result of the deplorable state of their roads.
Residents are, however, appealing to the government and appropriate authorities to intervene in the situation to make life better for the people.
They disclosed they experience heavy downpours whenever the country approaches the rainy season adding that they found it difficult to use the roads as the downpour takes over roads in Krobo Junction and its environs.
